So I am currently researching my options for grad school to primarily do research in physical acoustics, dynamics, vibration, etc. My undergrad degree is a BS in Acoustics, in which I was required to take all of the same math courses and specialized major courses as any ME or EE in other schools. Since my BS is not EE or ME, and my program is actually not ABET, I'm only eligible in some schools for a MS. Engineering (and in one case just a "Master of Science" :/). Does this really hurt my marketability or is it simply trivial? Either way I am doing a thesis research component, and some schools said the programs are exactly the same.
