what should i do ?

i finished my 12 with 88% from ap board . i wasted my two years kidding around so i couldnt clear jee advanced neither mains ,hence i dropped a year taking home preparation but the real matter is i just dont want to be an Engineer i want to be an astrophysicst (really love that stuff) . but im afraid to go with a bsc degree from india so im trying to apply abroad what are my chances in uk, canada,(anyplace) but with a good schoalrship. my parents cant afford that kind of money thats the main reason why im preparing from home p.s what about usa i mean i could give them pretty good SAT scores but i heard they need extracircular activites like olympiad which i dint gave any. so my main focus is on cambridge,oxford any uk college with a hefty scholarship btw my tenth cbse score 8.8 . I can really do well in exam now i think i can get into nit but i dont want a btech degree cause from what i heard with a btech degree you will end up in exprimental side of physics but i wana be on theoretical side. please help me asap and if u know any good bsc or msc integrated institutes in india please let me know
