A particle is in a potential V0 in the ground state lψ0> .
A small perturbation is applied to the particle H1. Suppose that the first order perturbation to the energy is zero: E(1) = <ψ0lH1lψ0>=0. She that the lowest order effect of H1 is to decrease the energy of the ground state

Not sure where to start .. I know that H= H0 + H1 where H1 = λH' ..can someone hint me in the right direction? Thanks
